So at the Jump Festa in Japan the newest Pokemon game to be released was announced!

It is not, in fact, connected with Black and White.

No, it's actually to be a crossover.

With Nobunaga's Ambition.

Magic, is what it is.

Also who is it who has Mewtwo? I DO NOT ACTUALLY KNOW KOEI CANONS and thus can only identify a few of the most recognizable characters.

well at least since it's POKEMON it'll be relatively simple Japanese?

Also from the pictures/caps it looks like the main character is an OC (player chooses the gender) and has an eevee. :|a

The official site is already up! http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/ranse/

And lol they're using Samurai Warriors designs... I hope the camp SW characters are so we can have "canon" pokemon. PLZ KOEI AND NINTENDO, PLZ.

Man if someone apps whoever Mewtwo's paired with I would HAPPILY play with a ill-defined sense of connection/partners-thing. Heck I already reference SSB when threading with Bowser so WHY NOT SAMURAI TOO?

Sadly, I have never seen a Kenshin anywhere (which is sad because he's so unintentionally hilarious) in recent memory.

That is most unfortunate. :(

....although in that case I suppose I'd still settle for a Shingen and vague senses of rivalry. :|a

This is amazing, but I still have to be >:( over Oichi having a Jigglypuff when EVERY OTHER MAIN GUY INTRODUCED HAS A LEGENDARY OR RARE POKEMON (see: starter pokemon and eevee, especially when the main character seems to be canonically male). At least give her a Clefairy, Nintendo, it's canonically rare...! OR AUDINO, WHICH IS A CLEFAIRY/JIGGLYPUFF MIX.

Anyway hopefully Nintendo will shape up with the other characters to be introduced :U /feelings

I've never played any of the Koei games, so I wouldn't know their reasoning behind all the choices. XD Although I don't think eevee was chosen because it's considered "rare" at all, but rather because it's the one pokemon that can evolve into many different ones, hence being thematically appropriate for an OC protagonist that's basically meant to be whatever the player imagines them to be. But I definitely don't think eevee was chosen because of any perceived rare/valuable status. :|a

Although personally, I think jigglypuff has some pretty strong mascot status, itself, both from the anime and SSB, so idk.
