When you see broadcasting of the war on TV, do this, just for me. Find some sort of processed food (yeah) then open that shit up really fast. As if the ticket for the happiest life rests at the bottem of this magnificent package; scarf every last mother fucking Lord defying mouthfull. It's nice to see you folks have such faith in today's "mainstream" media. personally, i see most television news sources as bias. they aren't allowed to air certain things that happen, or voice certain opinions. i'm not saying the news doesn't have some accuracy, just don't trust everything you see or hear.

by the way, you don't know me. i was searching Against Me! under interests and this popped up. i am just a weird Canadian hippie.

ever heard of we're not against the soldiers... we're against the war? First of all.. protesting isn't anti-American. How the hell do you think we live in the United States in the first place? By being civil? Many well-behaved people rarely ever make history or do anything that will change the status-quo. And if we didn't have people protesting something as cruel and malicious as slavery, we'd still be a bunch of ignorant ^$%$&%&^%^$@. I completely and fully support the troops, they are truly my heros and they deserve nothing but the best. I am part of a major military family-everyone except for me has been in the military. My grandfather was a vietnam vet-wounded in battle. There is such a thing as having support for your troops but not for the war.

And for some odd reason, protesting war is just having something to protest? Because war is such a nonsensical, meaningless thing? (sorry for spelling...) It's like protesting the crusades.

So... speculation is cowardism? Like the speculation of Vietnam? The speculation of taxation without representation? If it weren't for us rebelling, we'd still be drinking tea and eating crumpets (although I do like tea) while paying maybe a dollar or so more on taxes on everything for the british, if we were always with the british, we'd still be forced to practice the same religion. The US would no longer be "the melting pot" of cultures, the land of the FREE, but a dead wonderland of oppression. Do you honestly think that the Declaration of Independence was a conservative move? To the conservatives (or the loyalists) it probably sounded more like a bunch of rebels disobeying "mother." And if it weren't for the US rebelling, the world would be completely different. Do you think that the British would honestly go to war w/ Afghanistan or Iraq? Didn't they pull their troops out? The US is the only country that has shown the strength in women, have given the choice of learning to women overseas who once weren't allowed to show their ( ... )
