Fort Ticonderoga - 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Carillon

I had the honor of participating in the largest French and Indian War reenactment to date.

I didn't get any pics of the big battle (for I was in it), but I did get some shots of the small, "taste of things to come" battle...



The scenario had a small French picket accidentally discover the British forces preparing to launch a attack on the fort. Historically, during this battle, only a handfull of French made it back to the fort to warn the others, while the British General Howe was killed.





















































The battles at the fort on the second day was much larger. Whereas this battle only had about 700 reenactors, the big one had 2,000 reenactors. Simply epic.

Definatley worth the 1800 mile round trip.
