So another year of AB has come and gone. I can't say that I'm sad, because it was an amazing year and we had an amazing time. We didn't make too many friends, which we attribute to being slightly unapproachable

Hey! I found you on the AB forums, but I just wanted to stop by and give you ladies mad props for having the best Bebop cosplay that I've ever seen. I wanted to take a picture of you guys, but one of the other spacebugs had my camera ;_; Anyway, great job n_n
... that was me XD Spacebugs can't speak though, so I couldn't tell you guys how much I loved your costumes, but the next morning, I was telling my Spacebug brethren about the amazing CB ladies that I ran into on Saturday night.
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed that there was a decrease in Kaiju at this con, but I believe that Cube and a minion was there on Friday & Sunday too! Unfortunately, I'm a lazy minionette and didn't show up on time... and thus, got promoted/demoted to Spacebug.
That was you?! You totally made my day! We were all really disappointed that Kaiju didn't have a booth or anything, and our Julia was especially sad that she couldn't show off the latest version of her costume to Beav, who loved it so much last year. I wanted to see if I could get another hug out of Dr. Cube, I'm sad I didn't see him! We'll be at Lupo's this weekend though, because it's in our home state, which basically counts as a hometown I guess.
Look in the background of your camera phone pic. It look likes Faye was having a pretty good time on the bed.
Also I love Marril. So much. I decided that we're just gonna play hangman and scrabble all day long and be buddies. Only I have to find him first. Mad creepy. Sorry Marril, if you ever read this.
I'm totally wishing I took in the legs on both Garnets. And I knew it'd bug me a whole bunch afterwards but I was SO LAZY and didn't do it.
New York Comic Con is in a month. Way too short notice to go this year but it's a possibility for 2009. Also, I think I'd like to give either Katsucon or Otakon a shot. We can drive and split the room by 4 again, it wasn't ridiculously expensive for AB. Erin and I just really want to wear our Bebop costumes more than once a year. I'd probly pick something other than Garnet though.
Haha, I noticed that. That picture has 128 photo views on Cosplay.com!
I bet Marril is hiding from you. I bet he's already changed his name and moved across the country.
Yeah. I don't think we'll be wearing Garnet again, unless we need to. But hey, I can't complain, you basically made the whole costume.
Seeing as Katsucon was over in February, I think Otakon would be our best bet. Only thing is, we might need parents or something as none of us turn 18 before then. It runs August 8-10. What day are we getting back from California?
By the way, I'm totally considering being Jill Valentine.
Hi from Freya cosplayer! ^^blankchocoboApril 10 2008, 17:11:20 UTC
Hi! I just wanted to say that you guys' cosplay were all AMAZING! I didn't even recognize you as the same people on Saturday. Me and my Saturday/Sunday Zidane were looking for you all Saturday in hopes of getting a picture of the four of us, but of course we never found you because you were Judy and Faye ^^;
The Matt and Misa cosplay is really great, too.
I wish I could make costumes like you guys can, but I guess practice will make me get better. ^^ It was really cool to meet you at the con.

Hello! We saw pictures of you with the Zidane, we were disappointed that we couldn't get pictures with you both too.
Are you kidding?! Your Freya was amazing! I had considered it, but I knew it would be a lot of work and that I probably wouldn't be able to make it very well. You did a great job!

Ah, sorry I'm so slow. I got attacked by mid-terms. ^^;
I'm glad you thought my Freya was good. I kept going back and forth on whether or not I thought it was up to par for a con. There are lots of mistakes that are hard to notice from a distance, but very obvious if I were to stand wrong or remove a piece of the costume. ^^;
I feel like Garnet would be a difficult costume because there are very few layers that can hide a mistake! If you made one, you'd probably have to start all over with that part...
Do you guys cosplay together often? Do you make your costumes together?
Me and my roommate are watching Cowboy Bebop together, and it reminded me of your great group.
Re: Hi from Freya cosplayer! ^^emopuffsApril 16 2008, 02:13:28 UTC
Yeah, Sarah (long haired Garnet) and I made our costumes together. Ed/Matt made hers on her own, and Erin goes to Sarah for her costumes. I made Judy on my own.
We always cosplay together, and we're planning on going to Comic Con in San Diego this summer.

I hugged one of them!
It somewhat made up for Kaiju not having a panel or booth.

I remember seeing you dressed up as both Judy and Garnet, now that I think. You looked fantastic <3

From what I can see of you in the background, you're one of the few Yuffies that can actually pull it off. Well done!
