It had been something he liked to think he was at least half-decent at, insofar as it went. It was difficult, of course, being that the cousin he most often had reason to avoid lived < i >in the next room but, all things being fair, he could avoid his cousin's notice if Dominic's music was loud enough and Vincent took pains to not let the creaky door betray his leaving.
Today had been such a day, and he'd managed his escape to... well, he wasn't sure, to be honest. He had just had the urge to wander the grounds -- looking out for archaeological excavations this time. He didn't exactly want to fall into another of those holes and disturb surly history students. Once was quite enough for him, thank you very much.

And then she saw him. Wandering across the grounds, as clear as daylight, the idiot who'd managed to fall into the trench. Ah right. She'd been meaning to apologise to him for being snappy, hadn't she? It (probably) wouldn't do to let her rotten temper alienate < i >everyone< /i > in this place after all.
Putting the box down and angling it so that it leaned against her, balanced by one of her hands, she pointed at him and shouted "Hey! You! Come here!"

Vincent frowned slightly, eyebrows drawing together in confusion as he heeded the girl's summons.
"I'm sorry? Did you need something?" he asked, walking up to her.

"Ah. Oh dear. Sorry about that," she mumbled, righting it, "right. Where was I? Oh yes. I meant to say 'sorry'. About earlier when I...might have insulted you. A little bit. So! Sorry."
