They're also playing in NYC two weeks later.

ETA: A lot of my LJ friends are getting tickets to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report right now. Which makes me think that maybe -- and I know this is waaaaay stretching it -- I should try to get ( Read more... )

Damn Girl! And we thought last year was the most awesome concert/show year ever...looks like this year is shaping up to be even more awesome!! I say try for tickets in NYC...how many opportunities will you have to see U2 and John Stewart/Stephen Colbert! Sometimes its worth it to be broke. *says as she looks at her pitiful bank account and counts down the days to NKOTB* Have fun at Sedaris! E really does rock. And good luck with the U2 tickets. I'll be jealous when you blog about that show for sure :)

I know, right?! I think the thing is that ever since I graduated from college and I've just been working instead of going to school, it's been easier for me to take the time to do these things. It is hard to get off work, but once I'm able to, I don't have to worry about things like papers and exams getting in the way.

Yeah, I'm torn because NYC has Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (I loooove that slash you put in between their names, btw -- hehe), but Chicago has Scott, who I could visit at the same time. Woe! Maybe I should go to Chicago to see U2 on my birthday and then plan a separate trip to NYC to see my boys. XD

And I TOTALLY agree -- it IS worth it sometimes to go broke!!

I'm sure David Sedaris will be nothing short of awesome. And dude, if I get to see U2, I sure as hell am blogging about it!!

Well, of COURSE you should try, bb. X] And, since the TDS/TCR tix are free, it would only cost to get U2 tix, travel, and hotel, which actually isn't that bad, I don't think...I mean, yeah, it's gonna be expensive cuz it's NYC, but ya know. It's fucking WORTH IT, lol. <3

:D They're completely and totally free. All you have to do is pick the date you want (when they're available, of course) and they email them to you. Completely, 100% free. :]
