I have the titanium tools straightener they carry in sallys for 50 dollars. it works just as well. I am not shitting you. Its just titanium and not ceramic. You could settle for it since you are trying to save.

I have had it for years and it still works (and burns the fucking shit out of me).
It gets 450 degrees :]

Well this one works so great. A couple of the reviews say it stopped working in a few months but I got mine back in high school so it works great for me still!
