I'm sorry, but i'm gonna have to disagree on this one.

Whether or not you agree with the rules, they exist. And if the law says that you can't smoke until you turn 18, than what's the cop gonna do?

The police don't make any rules. Even if some of the rules are really stupid, and a lot of them are, the police don't have a choice but to abide by them, regardless of personal opinion.

So don't blame the police for this, they're just doing their job. Blame the cigarette companies and blame the government for being overbearing if you will.
