Indeed. The "couple of bucks" earlier is also a nice clue, but not one I got until after that line.

I don't know that you -need- the line about the Styx -- I think the intended audience will get it earlier so it ends up acting as a bit of anticlimax (possibly resolution if they're not sure, but there are a -lot- of clues). But it's a good flashfic.
