Okay, my morning was perfectly fine without the unexpected bag of maggots bursting in (and over) my hand.

Thanks, universe. Thanks for that.

Japanese intermediate class starts tonight. I am in incredible amounts of pain. I'd really make a lousy first impression by skipping the first class but there is really honestly almost nothing I less want ( Read more... )

Omg, ew ew ew ew!! That's so nasty. *scrubs out brain*

I'm so sorry about the pain (and the maggots). I bet if you email your teacher (although you may not have that info yet) before with apologetic explanations it won't be a big deal to miss the class. Your health is more important than anything.

And congrats on the nephew! I love the name Eli. <3

*lends you brain bleach*

I don't have my teacher's email info yet, no, and I hate missing first classes. The other students develop a rapport without me and it's much harder on second class to work my way in. But then, nobody's going to want to sit with a green-faced girl who's clutching her belly and otherwise giving every indication of being about to hurl. :|

Thanks! :D

Ah, yeah I can see where that'd be an issue. Sometimes I forget people go to colleges where things like "developing a rapport" happen, and teachers care if you attend. Not that I'm bitter. >> *needs to transfer lyke woah*

I hope you at least feel a little better for your first day! I'm sure even if you're green-faced, you'll win the other students over with your charm next class! <3

I went anyway, and I'm glad I did. I actually felt better once I decided to go no matter what. It's like my body just gave up trying to fight me. :P

It's not a college, actually. It's a casual continuing studies course via the University of British Columbia, which means it's really laid back and personal. My class only has nine people in it. So yes, rapport does happen (and did, my classmates are SUPER COOL ♥).

D: That would have been the end of my day. I would have had to go home and sit in the shower for a few hours, while drinking away the horror!!

I'm sorry you are in pain. =(

What the heck is up with everyone's siblings having babies lately?!? I think I better go interrogate my sister. >.>

Well, it happened at work. So I couldn't exactly just... leave, since I'm the only person there. So I had to settle for washing my hands in the bathroom ten times and ranting at my boss for a few minutes when he came to pick up the deposits. XD

Sign me up for those dozen Advil and week of sleep too.

And I admire your tenacity in sticking it out and going to the class.

WHITNEY AND THE COTTON GIN.Sorry, it's pounded into us Americans in elementary school. You say "Eli," we say "WHITNEY AND THE COTTON GIN." Elijah, on the other hand, makes me go FRODO! *_____* <3333

Eh, I knew I'd regret not going. And by the time I actually got out of work (I stayed late to clean up because Lisa came back today and I didn't want her to return to a messy building) it was perfect timing for the bus downtown anyway. *shrug*
