The door opens on a back alley in New York. "Oh, good." Val beams. "We're in New York." She pulls Alanna out to the main street, shops lining both sides. "Welcome to Earth, Alanna." Her eyes twinkle. "Let's shop."
Val are you sure this is entirely approp... *Still tugging on her skirt, Alanna trails off and stares at her surroundings.* Goddess... *She lets Val pull her along, yanking the other girl back every time they passed a new storefront, question after question fighting to be asked.* What is that? Mithros, the buildings are tall. Do gods live up there? *She squints and looks up.*
Val chuckles. "Well, actually, people dont' really live up there. At least not around here. It's offices, where people work." Val stops in front of a store that carries vids and music. "Oh, come -on-. Luke doesn't have that bad of an expression." There is a stand-up of Luke in farmboy clothes, holding a 'sabre in the window.
*Alanna cocks her head to one side and points at the Luke stand-up.*
Wha...? *She giggles* Is it sad that I had to come all the way to New York to finally stand this close to your fiance? *She pauses.* He looks a bit constipated.
Val cracks up, facepalming. "Ok, I don't think we need any vids." She looks around the bustling street. "Now that we're here, I have no frelling clue what stores to go to. You have any ideas?"
