VOOM: Val and Luke take on Antar

The door to the Skywalkers' bedroom opens with a sigh, and Val stalks in. "Luke, come on. We're going exploring. And talking to people." She has a stack of papers in her hands and a twinkle in her eyes. "Can't stay in idleness on the Heart of Gold forever."

He stops pacing, which nearly makes him lose his balance, and looks bewildered. "Why?"

"Because you're pacing, and you're going to pace a hole through the floor. Oh, and your restlessness is making me nervous." She smirks a bit. "Besides. It's good to mingle with the locals."

"I thought the plan was to not mingle with the locals on account of being untrustworthy aliens?" He's following her as he speaks, though, off the ship. "And I am not pacing. I'm just... walking briskly. For health purposes."

Val facepalms. "You're pacing, love. Get over it." She turns. "Haven't you wondered where I run off to all the time? I'm not pened up writing all frelling day." By now they're out of theship and a bit of the way to the capitol. "I've been out meeting people, and getting a consesus of how things are going, what people're thinking, and stuff. I don't think they know I'm an alien. I'm just some random soldier's wife. I blend in."
