I gave Saving Jane a quick listen and added them to my MySpace favorites. Very cool, they seem. Thank you. :) My favorite bits are in their profile:
"Influences: Boys who have made me cry in the past or will possibly make me cry in the future, general disdain for "industry" types, lovely good friends that make me giggle, pretty girls, and Aerosmith."
"Sounds Like: The music that lonely pirates would have listened to in the wee hours of the morning, when they were crying alone in their cabins aboard their pirate ships. If pirates had cd players."
Marti seems to have a tremendous wit and sense of humor - from what I read, anyhow. Her lyrics show the same, so I think there must be some merit to the impression I get.
Songs they've released as singles are poppy, but those that didn't make mainstream tend to be more intelligent and adult(ish). Or at least she seems to reach emotions I can relate to (let's not revisit the femininity thing, thankyouverymuch) Check 'em out if you get a chance.
Above all, it's the first time I can crank up a new band on the truck stereo and blow the windows (and my eardrums) out in quite a lot of years!

*chuckle* I reiterate: very cool. :)
