Well said.

I think that's why most people like to keep themselves around a variety of people at various times. I think we've discussed this, and we've both said that we keep certain people around for certain things. Each person can bring different things to light and catch certain things you've overlooked, to continue the analogy of proof-reading.

anyway, i'll stop babbling and we'll continue this sometime over coffee and cigarettes because that's how we do it.

it's not just the people that you choose to keep around you that can teach you something. The ones you insist on pushing away can teach you a great deal about your own character as well as about the type of people you do choose to surround yourself with. So I guess that goes along with checks and balances...
