Crash Upon A Time. . .
Finally, some better pictures of my dad's lovely truck. Well, it was lovely, once upon a time.
I've been off work cuz its been raining, alot, lately, due to Hurricane Gustav. It'll be raining for a while it seems.
My brother is getting a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado. . . while I need a truck worse than he does. Does that seem right to you? Dad should've at least asked me what I wanted. I prefer the color I've always had. White! I found one similar to my dad's there in the pic, but in much MUCH better condition, lol. With everything I wanted, just leather interior. . . ugh. I like leather, but it wears out too quickly. Anyway, I guess I'm stuck with nothing. We'll see.
Also, it's been over four months since I've even penned a poem. I missed it, and I've been working on various poems, but they never worked out right. Then a few days ago, I wrote two, then I wrote one the next day. I'm hoping for a variety of themes. Though, I think its been eight months since LiveJournal has seen any of my poems.
What else?
OH! One of my favorite deities in Hinduism had a birthday today. I had forgotten that in late August/early September there is a celebration known as Ganesh Chaturthi. I wish I could've attended with Ashvini. She's not enthusiastic about the celebrations, prayers, etc. Her mum is though, and I miss talking to that woman.
Ah well.
I got a new book. "The Church of Dead Girls" by Stephen Dobyns. I still have to read James Rollins' "The Judas Strain" and David Gibbins' "Atlantis".
