[In the library, one might see a certain Jade Curtiss sitting at a table and reading. The current book in his hand appears to be particularly interesting as he keeps on bookmarking certain pages. Unfortunately for Ed, Jade had other intentions considering he'd spotted the boy when he had come in. He'd been curious how long it would take for him to be noticed and was a bit surprised by Ed's escape attempt. Of course, Jade would not have that happen on his watch so he smiled at the retreating figure, saying in a voice that was loud enough for Ed to hear, "Why, Edward, you'd nearly escaped my notice."

She hadn't escaped Jade's eyes. Blond, pigtailed girls were fairly hard to miss, after all. For the moment, he simply watched her out of the corner of his eye while wondering which of these would be best suited for Raimei.

Winry wandered the aisles of bookshelves. Was she looking for Ed? No, she had stopped doing that after their meeting by the lake. Instead the blond was desperately trying to get her outrageous grades under control, and at an acceptable level. So she browsed the endless sea of books for help. The girl passes by Jade, hardly even noticing him as she passed.

Now, this was a nice surprise. He hadn't spoken much to Winry as of late and that just wouldn't do considering how close she was to Ed and how much he enjoyed teasing him. It just didn't feel fair to exclude her from the teasing, either. With that thought, he smiled over at the girl as she walked by. "My my, Winry, a pleasure to see you. Searching for Edward?"

The sound of someone calling her name caught Winry's attention. She turned and saw the professor. No feeling of dread or foreboding swept over her. Maybe if she knew him better she would be compelled to turn and run the other way. However Winry only had a few brief encounters with Jade. The blond plucked a potions book off a shelf before making her way over to the spot where the man had been sitting.

"Hello Professor," she said politely, "and I'm not. Just looking for some studying material."

Shirley was just walking into the library to finish up some homework, and sat at a table that was close to Jade's. After a while, she noticed him studying the book intently, and leaned over to see what the title was. Of course, upon reading it, she spazzed and nearly fell out of her chair.

Jade hadn't noticed Shirley at first. It wasn't until he heard a strange noise coming from her direction that he looked up from his book and saw the girl right after she'd spazzed. It was obvious what had caused her reaction, but Jade simply put on an innocent smile as though the book in his hand wasn't made to torture students. "Why, is something the matter?"

She quickly turned back to her homework. Yeah, avoiding eye contact now.

"O-Of course not, Professor!" She said, praying he let the subject drop at that.
