On the Memorial

In regards to Ashley's memorial, I remember people talking, and i remember totally losing my cool when three lovely young ladies sang 'You are my Sunshine' at the beginning...the song my mom used to sing to Robyn, Ashey and I. that is so your family in an anecdote. i love you guys. i'm sorry as always for all the pain. for better or for worse, it shapes you. i think you are shaping well, if somewhat depressedly. in regards to the last post, it's sad that you (or any of us really) have had the experiences to make you candid about the taboo, but it's also incredibly refreshing. one of my favorite things about you is that quality, whether you use it for your humor or serious conversation or when you are in tears. it is open and raw and hard for some to take, but ultimately a good quality i think. i love you always, friend. you can get through it all with enough muddling. muddling. this post is going downhill. give me a call if you feel like it :)

That was the most beautiful memorial service I have ever been to. (I've been to a lot on account that I have so many elderly friends from church, etc, and I play at them) It was so personal, and completely open, and you did an amazing job. The bottle water is a very cute story. Hang in there, and know I'm thinking of you.
