I urge you all to speculate, comment, offer observations, or rant on any and all meanings of the term "curfew."

curfew cramps my style. it turns leisure into something that has to be planned down to the minute. in short, it bothers me.

I don't have a curfew. I tell my parents when I'll be home, and then use it as a self-imposed excuse to leave.

Curfew - n - kur-fyoo - Something any real teenager ignores.

Usage - Bianca was a loser and went home early, while Jason, Kylie, and Brad were hardasses and stayed out until 5am. They're cool. You wish you were them.

Curfew.

A way for parents to limit the possibly illegal activities of their probably irresponsible children until they are certain of the maturity of their offspring or said offspring get away to college, where they are certain to break all the rules anyway.

Basically, a curfew makes sense on some level, as long as the parents communicate with their kid in a way in which all parents should be able to communicate with their kid; that is, in great detail of what their kid thinks, and with an open mind about what their kid wants to do.

Sadly, most parents fail miserably at this duty, and as a result many kids in my generation are more fucked up than they should be. Also, a lot of kids are just idiots.
