I love how Watanuki thinks of Himawari and that's what triggers his anger - the harm to her rather than his impending death. And how everything changes with that trembling hand. He looks up into golden eyes heavy with guilt and fear and apologies and suddenly the only feeling left in him is the urge, the need to protect. That's love. Everything gets shunted away in the face of another's need. How you manage to convey this all in only a few words - you have my undying admiration :D As does the way you encapsulate this all in a horrible situation. It makes me forget they're going to crash and then you slide in the knife with a single sentence :D

So angsty, so deep, so beautiful... this is going to the memories, yess it is.
I had to re-read "bad day" twice in a row because it was so good, and so Doumeki... I take it he has some sort of mental illness (or a brain tumor?), and I spent a good while going over my scant knowledge of them trying to figure out which one exactly, but to no avail... anyway, his way of dealing with the situation is so very him and the end of the drabble so very beautiful that it made me smile.
