It's a Disaster...

Help flist! I have a disaster of a hair cut after I got home from Cairo and it's a few days from Christmas! Getting it cut again isn't an option, I don't want it any shorter. It was supposed to be multiple layers (it ended up being two--short and long. You can't even tell in the damn picture but in person it just looks ridiculous. Additionally ( Read more... )

Aw, bb, I've seen MUCH worse! And you're not ugly! <3

You could use a pin curler. It would make your hair more voluminous and spice it up a little. Given your hair color, it'd look awesome!

I know the problem of hair falling flat. The only advice I can give is to use loads of hair spray and use a hair dryer to fluff things up.

Hope I could help?

Sorry for the delay in response, got tied up with a paper hehe! I think I might try the pin curls idea for Christmas, thank you! I dried my hair today and it looks a little better...I think what might have happened on the one side is that for some reason when I went in that day my hair didn't fall around my face the way it normally did (if that made sense) so when she cut it, thinking it was what normally was on top, it disappeared under. I think I might also get a straightener to take care of the random loop-de-loops that stick out of nowhere! I'm feeling a little better about it now, just have to figure out what to do with it haha! Thanks for the comment :D

The icon is for your "hair dresser." And dont worry, I have seen much worse on myself.

Braids are always an option. Although youd have to find someone who knows how. Or just do it yourself.

Also, pinning things back could work. Just take the side and hold it up with some bobby pins. Or pin back the bangs. You could find pretty bobby pins, too. :)

Hmm. It's a little too short for braids especially cause of the layers but I could always have someone make two or three tiny ones to add in some flair? And I think pinning back is how things are going to be. I've used a hair dryer now (after living in Cairo w/o one for four months I was soo used to letting it air dry, that's what I did the day after I go the hair cut and when i took this picture, it looks a little better now after using the dryer). I also hacked off the shag on the bangs that was left over (that I didn't notice were there till I posted the picture!) so that department looks a little better too. Thanks for the support hehe!

p.s. You should p.m. me your address & where are you registered at for the wedding? No promises it will BE there for the wedding, but something should show up at your door eventually!

Well, french braids would still hold - I had hair that short and french braids held it well. Another idea is twisting. Start with a small bit near the part in front and twist while adding small pieces in at a time.

Also, go around and tell others of the dubious parentage of that "hairdresser." That should make you feel better.

info is forthcoming!!
