the thing that irritates me with this one issue is that they are not trying to create a "master race" of dogs. Fuckin idiots... they chose the dogs for their beauty AND their health. They do choose dogs for their breed superiority AND their health.

When my parents bought their bullmastiff, Dusty (the one you photographed with me), they got the AKC papers, certification that she would never get hip displasya, and a copy of DNA test results showing that she has no genetic defects.

She has never once been incurably sick. Because breeders check their genetics in hopes that they can better the breed...
