INTERVENTION TIME. I wish I had the commute you did so I could read more. I want to try and read more this year before going to sleep b/c I think it would relax my brain a lot from law school things. Which I just wasn't able to do this semester.

bk12 is very much the exception. i feel you.

I need to track down the rest of the Dare Island books and finish them off!

INTERVENTION ACCEPTED. Reading before bed is hard for me. I do it, but I usually try to avoid new stuff because if I get caught up in it, I'll forget the bed part and stay up reading. So I usually save that time for rereading old favorites.

You do!

Dammit, I STILL need to read Nicholas and Alexandra. ONE OF THESE YEARS!!

I have been very lucky in somehow managing to avoid 99%of authors online (I can't escape fucking John Green though because he's friends with the Men In Blazers and they reblog a lot of his soccer stuff (although he's a Liverpool fan, so...HAHAHAHAHA), because wow, if I had found Maggie Stiefvater's tumblr before reading the books I probably would not have wanted to read them at all. It really bums me out how much she likes Kavinsky. Although she went to the same college as me, so I feel like she gets a pass I would not give to most.

"I wish you could be kissed, Jane," he said. "Because I would beg just one off you. Under all this."

Basically. My best friend and I will just text that to each other sometime.

Massie writes very readable books; one thing you do need to remember when reading him, though, is that the book was written while the USSR was still a thing. So it's a little dated.

YOU ARE VERY LUCKY. Ugh, I'd forgotten she liked her terrible monster of a character. I was happier having forgotten that. It explains a lot about fandom, though.

IT IS A REALLY GOOD LINE.

I do feel like . . . not over Psy-Changeling, but somewhere in that realm? Even the last newsletter story, I ended up kind of skimming.

I have no idea. I guess Chime, but I hated Chime, so that's not an endorsement

THIS IS ANOTHER REASON I HATE THAT "BEST" QUESTION. Like, seriously, being well-written isn't actually enough for me.

Burn for Me!!!

I'm going to read The Girls at the Kingfisher Club this month. Or, at least, I have it checked out and it's taunting me to get to it already.

I can yell at you on GoodReads to review stuff if that helps. :P

I'm not over it, but I'm at a point where I'm more interested in things that she's clearly not interested in? Like, the conversation Ari and I were having on twitter today about blended families in the den, and how unique the Walker/Lara mating is in that regard. And I am not at all interested in spinning off the world we have to falcons and sea creatures. So yeah, not over it, but ready for it to be done so I can play with it as I want to.

NOT AT ALL ENOUGH. I can admire beautiful writing. But that doesn't make me think it's the best.

I am going to need to get it as an actual book which is my hangup. But I really want to read it soon.

I AM 2 FOR 2 SO FAR, TAKE THAT 2015.

Yes! That's a good way to put it. I'm still fascinated by a lot of the world, but so much of that is centered on my love for the characters. And, well, for the changelings, I suppose, though I still say I'd be into an actual Psy/Psy pairings, where both sides were actually "good" Psy and not broken and secretly emotional and all.

Yeah, my library has it available as an epub, but I'm still not really into reading on my phone, so physical book it is! (I think I'll try to get to it after I finish the two I'm in the middle of. Probably.)

If she wanted to write a book about two "average" psy, I'd probably be really interested. But yeah, the dynamic she's seemingly going for with Aden/Zaira is one she's done before. And yes, I liked it then. But that doesn't mean I'm obligated to KEEP liking it, when you do it with different characters. And really, the psy-psy thing has never been my favorite. I like Kaleb/Sahara, but they're not my faves. I am team changeling. If that's a thing.

Ugh, yes. Somehow I always end up with surprise epubs even though I SWEAR I check to see if it's available for kindle before I check it out.
