While using this...contraption as a sole means for communication on this ship has come in handy, I would prefer it if I were able to converse verbally.

Yes. I know a little bit, and I keep trying to listen and learn more, but it's just so... I don't see how they do it.

It's nice to know that we're not alone in this, right?
