Is it one path stretching out into the infinite, or are there many branches, criss-crossing and backtracking, converging and leaving?

Both, in a way. There is one projected path that a person shall follow...but as decisions are made, a new path shall form from it. From there shall spring more decisions, more futures, forever stretching into an infinite measurement.

The people here were originally brought here to repent from sin, it was said. Perhaps that would explain some of it.

But there is light, and warmth, and life here, all the same.

Hell, I fear, is not a proper place for atonement. It is merely a place of suffering and cruelty. No forgiveness of the self can happen in such a place.

Agreed. But such comes from the people, not from the place nor the Gods.

This is no hell, built only of such dark things. Yes, there is pain, and yes, hope may falter, but there is sweet to be taken with the bitter.

That it does. And some of the people here are wonderful at providing it.

That much I shall agree to. I have never seen so many diverse people come together like this.
