When I first read this, I thought that them having sex meant that Sherlock had infected himself on purpose because the virus was sexually transmittable. So I was yelling YESSSSSSSSSSSS and NOOOOOOOOOOO all at once. Then I realized my mistake, haha.

Loved the fic, and the commentary is interesting.

I look forward to the sequel.

Oooh, so glad to have found this! I just read the fic yesterday, so exciting to read the commentary today!

I found out it because of fan-art on tumblr, which linked to the story that inspired it. The fan art itself seemed so strangely out of character, so I read the fic, and then the art made sense and was totally heartbreaking!

I read an abridged version of Flowers for Algernon in 8th grade, and then found (and read) the whole book later on, in high school on my own (I'm 32, so this was a while ago). Watching John go through the same thing in front of Sherlock: Auuuuugh! Sad in a beautiful kind of way.

I am waiting for the day I become too stupid for Sherlock Holmes.

Oh, I was crying here too, alright. Every damn time I read it (and it was definetely more than once).

I think that among its many many flaws, the one really strong thing about my writing style is that I say very little. I sketch out a scenario and the reader fills in the rest.
I actually love this about your writing, I can rarely read long-winded descriptions no matter how beautifully written they are, because I basically have the attention span of a goldfish, but this - your - kind of writing style just keep me on my toes. :D (It's also very close to my own writing style, though I write in Hungarian, but that's irrelevant. XD)

And aaaaaall the science feels, Jenny, all the science feels. ♥

Thank you for writing this fantastic fic! ♥ ♥ ♥ And thank you for the commentary, it was really entertaining to read. :)

And I'll be waiting with bated breath for that sequel. :)

I just have to say - this fic made me sob like a fucking. Baby. Multiple times (John hugging Sherlock saying "I love you" over and over? I was a mess. An absolute wreck). I mean, it's just...it's so beautifully written, your characterization is spot on, the science-y bits seem well thought out (for a fic especially!) and...yeah. Also, I don't ship John and Sherlock at all (I know, I know) but something about this far made me actually want them to get together ( ... )
