Taehyun jerked awake to find himself still seated at his desk with a blanket draped around his shoulders. It was already light outside, and he let out a frustrated whine at realising that he'd fallen asleep on his books once again. He had mid-terms coming up in a week and he had to work extra hard to keep his average up, especially since the modules from this semester weren't particularly friendly.
Stretching out his sore arms and neck, Taehyun noticed a mug of tea and a post-it note at a corner of his desk. It was lemon balm tea, one of his favourites, and it was still warm too. He took a sip of it as he plucked the note off the desk and read it.
"Aigoo you fell asleep at the desk again... Stop pushing yourself so hard Taehyun-ah, I'm worried you'll get sick before you can even take the exams ;;;
I made you breakfast, remember to heat it up before eating! There're also some snacks I bought yesterday on the kitchen counter, bring it along with you today~ Studying is important but skipping meals is a no-no, okay? I'll bring home a treat for you tonight :)

Taehyun could not stop the smile that blossomed on his face while reading the note his boyfriend left him. He could just imagine that nagging tone of voice from the older, telling him to do this and not to do that. Honestly, Seungyoon's nagging could get annoying at times, but for now when he was too busy to even think about taking care of himself, it was actually endearing and warms his tired soul. He already felt tons better, and was ready to take on the new day.
It was late, and Taehyun was seated at the coffee table, buried in his books and notes once again. Seungyoon had returned home with dinner, as well as pastries and coffee from their favourite café earlier and they had a nice, relaxing time just talking to each other over the food.
He took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose tiredly. Seungyoon was right; he might kill himself first at the rate that he was pulling all-nighters these days but he really needed to do this well. He was about to get back to his studying when a sleepy-looking Seungyoon came into the living room clutching a pillow to his front.
"Come to bed, Taehyunie~ Please?" The older said, all puppy eyes and a cute pout on his lips.
"I can't, Seungyoon-ah... I still have a lot to finish..." Taehyun smiled apologetically, especially when the pout on his boyfriend's face only intensified at his reply.
There was a short pause before Seungyoon shrugged and went to sit by his side, placing the pillow between them and leaning lightly on it.
"What are you doing, Seungyoonie~? Go to bed baby, it's late."
"I’m staying up with you. I don't have classes tomorrow so you can't stop me aha!" Seungyoon stuck his tongue out victoriously. "Go on, I won't disturb you."
Taehyun shook his head in resignation and decided to just let him be. It was nice to have Seungyoon around when he was doing something so mentally draining anyway, even if he wasn’t really doing or saying anything special. His mere presence made Taehyun feel a lot more rooted and less lonely.
Sometime later, Taehyun felt the weight leaning on his side grow heavier and heavier, and he turned to see his boyfriend fast asleep, leaning against the pillow that was placed between them.
"Aigoo, you big baby... I told you to go to bed..." He turned his body carefully and chuckled at Seungyoon's adorable sleeping face. Taehyun took another look at the mess of things to study on the table, and decided he could leave it for tonight.
"Come on, Yoon baby, let's go to bed." He pressed a kiss to Seungyoon's temple and started to wake him up gently.
That night, with Seungyoon's arms securely around him and his head nestled near the older's neck, Taehyun slept the best he has had in a while.
