CSI- One Thousand Days

So this is where I should say if you don't want to be spoiled then...well you know what to do ;)

It was a very well written episode, first off. The plot moved along fairly quickly and we shifted from one area to another. The characters were multi-dimensional. Boyd was not a horrible guy- just not part of the regular world enough to use his brains, he actually cared for Inez. Inez's dad might have been in prison but he was like any caring father. Leo was at once creepy and not creepy. He had made a mistake years ago that had lasting ramifications to his life. It was scary when he confronted Catherine but at the same time it was made understandable why he did so.

There was no Sara mention in this ep but her presence was still felt (while at the same time missed, what a contradiction in terms). One can imagine how the case would have effected her. The lies she would have told the others that it wasn't bothering her. By the time the episode was nearly done and Boyd's children looked headed for foster care...how could Sara not come to one's mind. The Boyd kids were spared having a parent directly murder someone else but the ramifications of Inez death will continue to effect them especially seeing Boyd will probably have to serve some prison time.

While a sad episode it also was a very good one and easier to follow than last week's. One compliant though has Eric Szmanda also left the show? Because he now appears only as much as Archie does. (Honestly he also looks upset or not happy. Greg's emotions due to Sara's leaving or maybe ES's?)
