Am I weird for giving my horse the day of her trims off? I just thought it was kind of normal. No, she's not ever sore, her angles are being kept the same, etc. But I've always done it out of habit and K does it too ( Read more... )

I don't usually ride on the days of Ozzy's trims just because it screws up my schedule. There's no reason not to. They go out in the field and run around the same day. Riding is no different. If she was getting some sort of crazy shoes or had soreness problems I'd advise differently, but in this case, JUST GET ON YOUR HORSE! LOL.

I have, but not always. I've also gotten Denali finished and then jumped on for a riding lesson :)

in the past, after holding 4-5 of my horses for Max, the LAST thing I had energy for was riding :P these days if it's after work, I only have so much time before it's dark :S but I haven't dealt with any post-shoeing soreness either. It's as much a time / energy thing I think :)
