I have found a solution to meeting DragonBreath's 10 entry-non-songlyric challenge! What? Actually write them? Of course not! But I believe my quotes journal paragraphs are sufficiently random to count as rants. So there.

~Silk, you're background is really cool!!! So was that found out in the vast frontiers of cyberspace or didja put it through Adobe-morph??

~That's a really cool quote and a really entertaining quote response. We likes it much.

adobe-morph, of course!
It's the study and the finished painting morphed together--didya see the double head?
I've had it for a little while, just now got around to putting it up...

~So questions number one, what all did you use for the background morphism??, and question number two, what program do you have that can create the gif.'s you have for your avatars?? I mean, does Adobe have that?? I haven't been able to delve into the deep, hidden realms of Adobe enough to know all this..... :(

1) I got the study picture and the painting and resized the study picture, till it looked the size I wanted it.(These are in layers 1 and 2) The study was on top of the painting. Then I changed the transparency of the study so the painting showed through. The swirly stuff is from the impressionist brush (I think) I can't remember if I did that before I merged the layers or after. I think it was after.
2) Yes, you can animate gifs on Adobe.
go to -->Save for Web
and check 'Animate'
Many options there. After some experimenting, I discovered that you can make a picture so big it won't animate it. (I tried to make an animated background...)Oh well...It's a little hard to stay within livejournal's 40kb avatar limit, but it's possible. Obviously. I did have the whole poem set up and animated, but it was a little big...

1) Spiffy ;).........

2) *grin* -- Yes, I noticed the difference between your unanimated LJ background and your animated and nearly-identical picture that came smiling back at me pleasantly from my e-mail inbox, awaiting my clickage. And Silk...... you put the entire poem???...... Hehe..... [*mental image Silk going, "Oh, DARN :P ........"*]
