B is for Breasts
Of which ladies have two;
Once prized for the function,
Now for the view.

~Robert Paul Smith

Hah!  Do I have your attention yet, flist?  I'm sorry for that, but I'm very amused by the subject of today's random entry:  Breasts.

Warning: If you are uncomfortable with talk of tits and nipples (mine specifically), don't bother clicking. I'm very frank. XD )

random, real life

Alright! And I thought I was the only one who was curious about the nature of boobies. Really, just like with anything else, one's preference for a certain boobtype is a simple matter of opinion. In my opinion the only ugly boobs are the fake, overly perfect ones and those cone-bra ones. Both kind of creep me out.

The purpose of the boobs, breasts, chichis, etc is to feed the babies. Guys just evolved a natural attraction to one type or another. When I first started to get breasts, I was both creeped out and annoyed to be honest. I was kind of an active young woman. I liked to climb trees, run, do small feats of contortion and suddenly I had these lumps of fatty meat sitting on my chest obstructing everything. Thankfully, this revulsion to them declined and I began to appreciate them as part of my heritage as a woman and excellent accessories to fill out a dress. WHOOHA!

Yay for bewbies! XDDDD

I am so much in agreement about the ugly ones being the the fakes. Well, I can't say I hate fake ones, but I certainly don't prefer them. There is nothing teh hawtness about plastic, though.

LOL! I was pissed off when I started getting mine. I was a tomboy and I used to run around with my shirt off. :P I couldn't any more once they started. And they were smaller than the other girls' so I couldn't even have the interest as an excuse.

Then I had a child. I appreciate them only now. *pets them* XDDDD

XD I can hear them purring. Does the appreciation stem from the fact that small children make pillows of them, or something else?

As a lover of breasts (as if there's anyone who doesn't like breasts) and as a guy, I think a woman's insecurity stems from being obsessed with the perceived male obsession over breasts. I believe in general guys don't make as big a deal of it as you gals think we do. Don't get me wrong, we love the bewbage - whether they be pleasingly perky or mouth-watering mammoths; even the mosquito-bite variety have certain charm to them. Nevertheless, know that even so-called "breast men" recognize that a woman is more than a pair of sweater puppies.

Sweater puppies. BAWHAHA. Nice one, Seth. ;)

I agree with you. It is amazing how many women seem to think their worth will be judged by men based on their breasts alone -- I also blame the societal focus on them for that as well as for the insecurity. Sad state, it is. Especially, as you said, since so may var9ieties of boobs are great. XD

I also very much appreciate you saying the obvious about men knowing damn well that women are more than tits. I wonder if this is a case of girls giving men too little credit?

Oooohh, you're fuuuunnn. marvin_burshik July 18 2009, 20:52:37 UTC
Hunh.

I bet many people say this, but I still think you'd like a stranger sayin it too.
You're quite fun, tis why upon reading this my first post of yours I say I like you...

Would love it if there was more than a handful more people as fun as you out there.

I'm not generally comfortable referring to anatomy, despite being a fan of the female form myself (kay... Only person I've publically been comfortable staring somewhat ask is me best friend, cuz she likes it).

I do have self form issues tho...
Tho its been improving a bit lately.

I found this to be a bit of a mind opener, despite claiming to be a liberal thinker.
Got me ta smile too.
LoL.

Its fascinating the numerous references and names given to your chichis (I like the party feel of the name).
You're fun.
Did I already mention that?

Why, thank you for the compliment! I'm afraid I generally use LiveJournal for fandom or bitching more often than anything, but my random conversations with friends and strangers have often led people to tell me I have an interesting mind. ;) I like picking apart things and coupling my (rather skewed) outlook with general enthusiasm and bluntness.

Why bother censoring reality, after all?

Thank you for your kind words, and it is nice to meet you. :D

As someone who spent hours being entertained by a certain YIM userpic, I think ladies are too insecure about their lovely chests. ;)
