Federal Judge Strikes Down PA Defense of Marriage Act As Unconstitutional

I've read the articles and watched the news and I still cannot believe this has finally FINALLY come to pass. A federal judge struck down the Pennsylvania "Defense of Marriage Act" for the unconstitutional piece of BS it is. That's fantastic! The same thing happened in AR a week or so ago! Still a ways to go on that, but it's really happening, and in places where you would never expect it.

Very pleased to hear that. I'm glad you guys now have the option! God knows when the Australian government will stop the discrimination, the current one just seems to want to make things worse :(

WOULD you get married? It would be so awesome - I know the legal/formal status aspect means so much to you especially and it would be such a great way to mark your many years of commitment!

Acquaintances of mine (men) got married (civil union) in Britain last year or the year before to celebrate 30 years together. It says a LOT when long-standing same sex couples tie the knot, IMO.
