As My Body Disintigrates On the Way to Entropy

Let's just say I'm glad I don't live in New England because I've been through a few nor'easter's and they are nothing to joke about. In 1996 we had one that stuck around for three days, brought three feet of snow, buried the house and the car, and we didj't get out for five days - the guy who used to plow back then broke his truck trying to clear ( Read more... )

Have you tried getting one of those Nutribullets or even the Magic Bullet (which is the one I have) or the Ninja which is what my mother has, and which by all accounts is better? You could then make smoothie/juice things containing many fruits and veges and force yourself to drink one every day. It's easier than trying to eat huge platefuls. My Magic Bullet doesn't get them completely juice-like, and the juicer attachment is next to useless, but it's not bad.

Adding: my mother has trouble getting enough nourishment due to a hiatus hernia/stomach ulcers, and she's been drinking these juice type concoctions to help.

Thanks for the weather update -- since we're heading home Wednesday, it's good to know the further 'west' (and south) we go, the less the amount of snow. MrHamill is having a cow over this (a full grown one with mad cow disease) and is certain we'll be stuck in this hotel room FOREVER OMG.

I understand how you feel about diet. I'm so sick of eating salad but I know I have to do it. A lot of it is in the dressing. If you can find a dressing you love, it's a lot easier. Still not easy, but better.

Well, I'm glad to hear from you, I always think of you when there's a snow apocalypse :)

Seriously, among the things I have to budget for, plowing out my driveway is never, ever one of them

I hear you about vegetables. I'm supposed to eat them, too and they taste of earth to me as well.

Juice those veggies! Throw fruit in too - you can get most of what you need down you in just a couple of glasses. You can always heave honey in to make it less sour.

And good luck with the weather. Brrrrr!
