This is such a bleak time, when you're grieving and probably finding it hard to just keep following up on stuff and be engaged with the world, let alone dealing with glitches like this, disappointments about work opportunities, and worries about finances, etc. Hold on. The bank or more likely a credit union might give you a short term loan based on the assurance that you have benefits coming. Deal with each day as it comes and try not to worry about next week or next month. Keep going for your child, and for Lola ... and ultimately for yourself. Find something to be grateful for each day, to give you the strength to carry on. You'll get through this.

Ah honey. Keep going. One bloody awful day after another. I really do know how shitty it is. Grief is a bastard.

Sending you love and hugs. Loads and loads of hugs. ♥

I'm sorry it's so hard going, especially while you're in mourning. Thank goodness you called the local office when you did, otherwise they would only have got back to you at some random time in the future, making things even more challenging. I'm glad you have the kids and Lola. I'm thinking of you.
