Books since forever

Aug 04, 2009 20:40

It has been MONTHS (AprilMayJuneJuly?) since I posted the books that I've been reading.  It's that lovely snowball of shame, that gets rolling when you're busy, then just has more momentum when you have to post about later and ... well, it's summer.  Snowballs have no place in New York in August.

Books (23) )

reading, books, games

I definitely need to play Race for the Galaxy. Your rec is enough, but I also think I've had it encouraged by several others. It is time!

The Klezmer book is awesome. You may borrow it, if you wish!

And yep, I was tipped off to your LJ identity by a certain wild goose. Well met!

If you have space on your book list, you might want to check out the "Cast In *" series by Michele Sagara. Book 5 made me all nostalgic for Correlendor and I'd love to hear what you think about it. Given that several of the books in the series made my top ten list I it's eminently worth working through to the last one :-)

I will check them out, thank you! Is there a clear order to follow (starting with Book 1), or are they standalones with one I should skip to?

Clear order. I think it's Cast in Shadows, Courtlight, Secret, Fury, Silence but trust Amazon over me if we disagree.
