I received an iPad for my birthday. The gift came most directly from my wife and my roommate, but I understand that many people chipped in for it. There has been a fair bit of anticipation, and I know I'm beholden to that community that contributed. Everyone wants to know whether the iPad lives up to its hype or down to its detractors' rants. I love my iPad! The husband is going to wait for rev.2, but I'm sure he'll get one, possibly with 3G. I just have WiFi on mine, but it's perfectly serviceable for everything I need it to do!

Do you have any apps you recommend? Mine is used mainly for twitter reading, web browsing, and Netflix watching at this point, besides the occasional look up to IMDB when I'm watching a show and want to know more about it/the actors.
