They are very much still around in my part of Wisconsin; there are even some right in the city here! I haven't been to one, but I know they do have Friday fish fry...

I remember my parents going to "The Bungalow", in Minneapolis, when I was a kid. Dinner, then a night of dancing and cocktails. I'll have to "google" and see if it's still open!

I remember one from when I was a kid - never been there - just heard about it. Live music the whole evening, dancing after supper..... it was quite popular in it's day. It burned down before I hit my teens, and it was never rebuilt.
