I love most of the flowers as they bloom, but I ESPECIALLY love iris. A few blooms, just the color of my icon, are lovely in the bed beside the garage

I planted some iris bulbs late this year and the leaves came up but not the flowers. But I looked at them closely yesterday and I think a few late flowers may be happening.
Yes, that's true but there are several flowers forming! These are narrow-leaved iris, not the traditional wide-leaf kind. I wonder if that makes a difference. Also, they're growing in a huge flower pot and not right in the ground.
Kevin has given us a few Irises and they are spectacular! We have them at both houses. I love that you can pick them for a bouquet and all of the buds will eventually bloom. We also have some (like in my icon) that we have had for years. They do beautifully.
