Final Entry

This is Emschin's daughter Cindy. My mother passed away last night at the Lawlis Hospice. I was with her until 8pm and then went home to sleep. Shortly after 10pm, the nurse came in to check on her. She was sleeping comfortably. The nurse went to check another patient. When she came back to Mom's room a few minutes later, Mom had passed. Peacefully

I've missed Emschin's journal here for a while, and will now miss knowing her via Cindy's recent accounts. Emschin's intelligence, good humor, and warmth live on in her three wonderful daughters. For this I'm grateful!

Your mother was something special. Her keen wit and curiousity kept us on our toes. I loved her and I'm glad I knew her, even though it was just through LJ. You and your sisters are to be commended for her great care. I knew she felt loved.

My deepest sympathy. I am not a regular here these days but when I was Margaret was very dear to me. Her warmth and wit always brightened my day and I enjoyed exchanging holiday cards. I hope she has a Journal in heaven with just as many good friends.
