We’re dealing with a complex issue at work. It turns out probably not to be our ISP’s fault, but I started there as it appeared to be a bizarre network issue.
I am colossally unimpressed with the ‘technician’ that it was my ill fortune to get on the phone some hour+ ago -

I actually hate male IT techs, and my husband's one.

I work with plenty of excellent technicians - I'm a tech myself, after all, and the field is fairly male-dominated still. The tools are far rarer than the normal people.
