Define ‘easy’…

It occurred to me this evening that I MIGHT want to review my definition of ‘easy’, where cooking is concerned.

I made devilled sausages, with spinach served over rice. I considered this a very easy dinner to make.

If I explode the process out, though…

Put rice & water in saucepan, apply heat. (This bit: actually easy by anyone’s standards.) Less

He he he. I've actually thought this before, when you've told me some particular thing is very easy to cook, and I've ended up thinking to myself that it's only easy if you have lots of free time/spoons, and my definition of "easy to cook" is basically "mac n' cheese." :D

Although I'm reminded now that I need to re-season our cast iron pan. I kind of want to make dutch babies, which other than the pan being out of commission *are* very easy...
