I like giving/mailing homemade cards and some modest gifts to friends. It's fun. I could never handle the season if I had to deal with the expectations of most people who celebrate Christmas: "If you don't spend at least three figures on my gift, you don't really love me!!"

As for my family, my parents don't expect anything but a card, given that my circumstances have been stringent for a long time now, and I'm not close enough to any of the rest for it to matter.
