I'll ride in the rain anyway, but my friends won't... they're jerks.
we don't have a community center here, we're extra lame. We do have a heated pool we could break into--and we often do--you just have to scale a wall! haha.
Just blipping around on the 'Net because I'm bored, looking for ideas for your birthday. I found this on Santa Rosa's site: "If you really want to stretch your legs, explore the Prince Memorial Greenway, a new walking and biking trail that connects downtown Santa Rosa to the Joe Rodota Trail and the neighboring town of Sebastopol."
I don't know whether you've done it already, but it sounds cool.
I never thought to look at what tourist suggestions are for my town until I moved away from it. This has got some cool suggestions: Kayaking, a bunch of bike trails (though you've probably touched them all), a hot balloon ride (bring spitwads and raisins), etc.
This is birthday week central. I really wanted to go Astro Bowling on my birthday. I think that would be nice. And then ride around on bikes maybe go to the harbor... if you have a harbor near you? You know, when it's all dark and peaceful with friends. Maybe a bonfire if it doesn't rain.

Once again, just an idea.
