I think this is the first time that I have an idea I like, the bare bones of a plot and characters that I can't wait to work with, all before the 1st of November. XD

And this year I don't have the flu! *knocks on wood*

Anyone else doing NaNoWriMo this year?

oh, me! pick me! *raises hand and jumps up and down!* I'm kindof cheating, doing half fanfic (for my big bang) and half original (if I need a break).

I usually do that, but I decided that this round only my main project was going towards my word count. It was too easy to get sidetracked when I split my time between multiple projects. XD

What genre does the original half of your NaNo lean towards?

i am sure i will find the same thing, but... well, i'm a sucker for self-punishment, lol.

i... really have no idea on that count. i've just been informed that nano is only 10 days away (!!!O_O_O!@IEr oidjdshf). eep! in truth i'm trying not to think about it so that i'll finish my final project for my final paper in time, instead of getting sidetracked. until then... i don't know, fantasy, maybe, maybe general fiction? blatant smut? any or all of the above.

I did indeed do Nano this year (year 3 for me) but this was the first time I managed to complete it. How did you do?

I got to 48,002 words. It was my fourth NaNo attempt, and my second time to miss the deadline. But I'm not too bummed, it got me back into the habit of writing everyday. XD

Well keep in mind 48K is nothing to sneeze at in 30 days. The point of NaNo is to encourage daily writing and if anyone did that I still consider them a winner ^_^
