my down comforter ripped in the washer on friday (and i almost terminated my existence in the laundry room), but luckily i had saved the packaging from when i purchased it in august. i exchanged it for a new one a few hours later. that's just how i roll ( Read more... )

omg that is funny about the starlight mint!! I've done that before, however I was 9 at the time and I freaked out and was all like MOMMY MOMMY!! I'm DYING lol She was like "It will melt. If you were choking or dying you couldn't talk."

i've been without a down blanket for the past 2 years :(
my idiot of a mother in law threw it in the trash.
it was stained, but at least she could have waited until i got a new one.

i got mine at age 13 by putting in a fake social security number at fingerhut.
but it's not so easy anymore. :(

ask for the real thing for the next special occasion that comes up. if your friends are nice, they'll all pitch in :)

Oh man, one of my kids did the same thing with a mint during FCAT testing!!! It was such a fiasco!

if it wasn't feathers, why was it a fiasco? did it still put fluffy white stuff all over inside everything and all that?

wow you're lucky that damn thing didn't go down your windpipe.

i swallowed a fizzy once, like an alka seltzer, you're supposed to put it in a glass of water. but i was at the movies and i wanted one so i put it in my mouth during 2001 a space oddessey right when the monkeys were banging on the monolith, and i just about died cuz i accidentally swallowed it. ugh.
