American Idol top 8
So as usual I’ve only seen Adams performance. Perhaps I’ll be surprised and find another favorite when I finally see the other performances on Swedish TV in a few weeks?
…Nah, I don’t think so. Right now most people seem to agree that it might as well be “The Adam Lambert show”
Mad World - I’ve never heard it before (I really don’t listen that much to music.) but I thought it was a beautiful song, very haunting. But I don’t think it was better or worse that than his other performances so I don’t know why people are going so insane over it. Perhaps it’s a song that everyone loves?
I think the studio version might be even better than the live version, maybe? I’m listening to it right now and it’s definitely my favorite of his studio versions. I wish I had a way of buying the songs so I could support Adam, but unfortunately iTunes doesn’t offer them here. So I have to listen to them on youtube or download them illegally. =(
Group song during the result show - Wow, what a train wreck. It felt like most of them were out of tune a lot and some of the phrasing were of, especially in some of the solos. Some people say that they could pick out Adam’s voice and that he was the only one in tune. I can’t do that but I don’t doubt them for a second. Adam’s solo where the only good thing about it. Well, unless you count the things that were so bad they were kinda hilarious.Although, too be fair, it's probably a difficult song to sing live.
Ford commercial “Circus” - Feels like pre-idol Adam! (well except all the cars). He looked like he had fun and so did most of the others. Love the costumes, so pretty, and the song (In this one even I think that I can hear Adams voice above the others…?). Oh and Adam is a Britney fan (he said so in the “making of…” video.) I’m not surprised and I think that’s awesome, I like Britney. I wish they could have some sort of theme where all the contestants dress up and have make-up like in the video. (What’s wrong with me, why are guys in make-up so hot?!) I demand more make-up and glitter on American Idol. =)
