A death in the family.
So I just came back from a whirlwind trip to Baton Rouge. My uncle was sick and unconcious on Friday, which was the family crisis I was referring to in my last post. My dad woke me up on Saturday morning and told me my uncle had passed away at about 4:45 Saturday morning. He was only 55. He just slipped away and didn't come back. He had a DNR ( Read more... ) -
I am employed once again!
So, it took awhile, but the school got back to me and offered me a job. However, it was not the job I interviewed for. They told me they were anticipating giving me that job I interviewed for until the last person they interviewed who had a lot more experience. And it starts again.
I have an interview at a medical benefits company to be a proofreader next Thursday. I submitted my application today. Though, I don't remember submitting it to that particular company, but hey, I'll take what I can get! They had my resume, and I have an e-mail confirming my application submission. And it sounded legitimate. I'll go with it. -
Ugh.
I feel so weird. I don't know if it's because I missed my medicine yesterday or what. But last night I didn't fall asleep until 3 a.m. and didn't wake up until 2 p.m. But all night I had these completely fucked up, yet realistic dreams. Teaching?
I got offered a substitute teaching position at a liberal arts school in downtown Dallas. The only problem is they offered it to me for tomorrow. I hate my job, but I promised myself until the 22nd. The beginning of the end.
I gave my two weeks notice at work yesterday. My last day will be Sept. 22. There was A LOT of shit going on and I wanted to beat them to the punch before they fired me. At least in this case, I can tell my next employer that I quit ( Read more... ) -
