You're right because I didn't really explain my comment in detail for you to understand.
As the mom of a child with special needs I find the word retarded used as slang very demeaning and hurtful. I should have tried to explain why it's really not about being politically correct but more about having a little decency for a group of people just doing the best they can.
I didn't mean to invade your space and didn't realize that your journal was private. I thought that it was open to anyone's comments since it allowed me to sign on.

ALL YOUR ART IS SO LOVELY, and I love the way you draw Lucas. There is such a variety of body types and color schemes and styles in this post! So much talent!! (I think you improved a lot. This'll sound lame, but I think the changes in your work will be less drastic as you get closer and closer to your ideal technique. Maybe it's a good thing that you're not seeing huge differences!)

Dude, I'm so sorry you had to defend me, I'm so bad at defending myself and all I can say sounds either too offensive, which I really don't mean it to be. But Jesus Christ, I'm keeping my journal private from now on. If I knew anyone that was offended by that word on my friends list I'd be sure to refrain from writing it, but I don't even know her and I definitely didn't mean it in a way that'd be demeaning to any type of people. All I was saying was I was being really slow. I'm only humiliating myself in this journal, and no one else. Except maybe those people who write really bad mary-sues. They're just asking for it.

Well, I don't know if you have or haven't improved, because I think your skill level is sort of beyond improvement, right? I mean, that's kind of freaky term to be applying to these awesome awesome drawings. But really, that C/S/K from a year ago? It's beautiful. It's got a gorgeous, subdued, watercolor feel to it. Everyone's emotions and expressions are very real and I can feel them. The lines and shadows and even the placement of their fingers reinforces the characteristic mood of the whole thing. I mean, the other stuff is good too, but hot damn, woman.

I seriously think you understand human anatomy about as well as anyone I know who's currently making artwork. That's not an absolution, either; it's an absolute. Even if it's fan art, I think your work surpasses the standards by which I judge fan art. I mean, there's fan art, and there's fan art, and I really hope, truly, that you know this is the latter.
