Have you played in an LJ based game before? Oh, totally.
Bonus: How did you hear about Siren's Pull? Basically it all started when CND showed me the threads of her playing as Kanji there. And how hilarious stuff was overall. The rest just fell into place.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Naoto has her Ego, which conquered her Shadow when it was defeated in her dungeon. As a result, it became a Persona. Originally she began with Sukuna-Hikona, a small moth-humanoid who could fly and get into small places easily. Once she maxed her arcana with Souji, however, Sukuna-Hikona became Yamato-Takeru. She mainly deals with Light and Dark attacks, as well as Almighty moves, though her own physical attacks through her Persona are nothing to sneeze at either.
Listed are the attacks Yamato-Takeru knows:
Mahamaon - This is an AOE (area of effect) attack- in which those caught within the specified area are hit by a massive area of light, and in the case of those who are weak to it, they usually die.
Mamudoon - Another AOE, exactly like Mahamaon, only with darkness instead.
Megidolaon - An extremely powerful move, a swirling cluster of almighty power descends and lands on the ground, setting off a massive explosion and severely damaging all enemies within the area.
Vorpal Blade - A physical attack from Yamato-Takeru, several orange slashing strikes appearing out of nowhere across the field and hitting whoever is within range. The damage is usually medium to severe.
Deathbound - Much like Vorpal Blade, only with less damage and a single strike overall against enemies.
Mind Charge - Naoto focuses with the will of Yamato-Takeru and her SP attacks increase in strength for one round.
Hama Boost - Gives a boost/better succession rate for Light attacks.
Mudo Boost - Gives a boost/better succession rate for Darkness attacks.
Weapons: Naoto uses a gun for her work, and whenever she summons her Persona, she calls forth a swirling card, which she fires at, releasing Yamato-Takeru. Her preferred way of fighting is long range, but she definitely knows how to handle close range as well (as seen in her critical attack, haha)
Her current gun is the Black Hole, capable of causing an ailment with an opponent in almost any instance she fires.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Oh man, so much to tell. I'll spare your poor eyes and link you to the wiki for most of it.
Not much is said about her past beyond that she is the next-in-line Shirogane, so she has a lot to live up to. Her parents were famous detectives as well, but they died when Naoto was young, so she's spent most of her childhood with her grandfather. Ever since she was young, she'd always wanted to be a detective- but because of how society viewed her, she felt inadequate in her position as a woman to take on the job. So, she began dressing like a boy, and actually learned to speak in a deeper tone, so it would be easier for the adults and others to accept her without much problem.
Here we go! Point in Canon: Post-True Ending
Character Personality: Naoto is pretty much what I like to call the "over-analyzer." The girl is tedious in her findings, spending every moment she has to solving a case [but then again, she's a detective- these traits come naturally over time]. She's also horrendously patient, considering her having to deal with Yosuke and Teddie quite often, not to mention teasings from Rise every now and then too. She's a detective and a problem-solver to the core, taking a thrill in mystery, and the adventure to solve it. To those she doesn't know, she may come across as being very cold or professional in her talkings at first- but in learning about herself and changing, she's also accustomed herself to welcoming others into getting to know her.
Naoto is extremely loyal to her friends, willing to do pretty much anything and everything for them. While she does care for all her friends, she's got a huge crush on Kanji, and his awkward reactions/actions for everyone else. She also has an extreme sense of justice, and is prone to getting into heated debates with others should you question her motives or judgement.
She is far from perfect, however.
In learning about herself from her experiences with Souji, she is still insecure about being a woman. Being so used to playing the part of a male, there's still a part of her that fears being girlish, or even womanly. Another part of her is terrified of being abandoned or alone, due to her parents dying when she was so young. Because of her interests, many children didn't want to play with her either, so she spent much of her time solving mysteries with her grandfather, thus leading to more of a secluded life.
Naoto is not exactly a social person, but not anti-social either. She rather prefers quiet places and times of solace, rather than large crowds or a party to attend to. Her intuition is always at work, her mind is like a ticking clock, and her dialogue usually says what she's thinking of. Most of the time it's either long-winded and elaborate for explaining situations, a few sentences to start a conversation, or short and clipped to show her irritation. This mainly depends on her mood at the time, the situation, and the relationship she has with the other person she's speaking to.
Character Plans: In truth I haven't been in a horror-based game in a while, so I'm looking forward to possibly getting involved in that end. Plus, I've always wanted to try out Naoto, and this place seems perfect for her.
Appearance/PB:
Doesn't look too far from being a male, does she? Writing Samples
First Person Sample: [The video clicks on, to reveal what looks like a young boy around the age of 16 staring at his surroundings. He's looking at the welcoming sign, and then glances down at the NV. It isn't until he speaks that we realize it's a female.]
...Siren's Pull? This isn't Inaba. Senpai? Kanji-kun? Anyone? [She wanders forward, towards a group of people, who quickly disperse.] Excuse me, could you tell me- [She gets ignored as more people pass, going about their daily lives.]
[Finally, she sighs, and looks down at the camera again with a partially deadpan face. Clearly, she's not amused.] I suppose this will have to do for now.
[Muttering, before she fumbles with the NV.] Odd, I can't recall anything other than being in Inaba before this. This is detective Naoto Shirogane speaking. To anyone on this network or broadcast who has any information about this location or the people within it, it would be imperative that you share it with me immediately. I have no time to waste in being kidnapped or being used for ransom- the Shirogane family has no interest in cooperating with criminals.
[The device clicks off.]
Third Person Sample: Before she had met Souji, cases had meant everything to her. She would spend countless hours solving and looking over previous works done by her family, hoping to one day follow in their footsteps and achieve greatness. Her grandfather began to use her intellect in his own work, oftentimes coming to her for help or for an idea for a clue and where it led to. As time went on, she buried herself in the work she had, acclaiming fame and the number of solved cases behind her name growing with each one she took on.
There was one problem, however. She was a girl. And girls weren't detectives in the world of men.
So she hid who she was to the world. She had never truly liked being female, at least before now, and despised being treated like a child. As a result, Naoto sacrificed the opportunities of being a woman, in favor of her insecurities. She bound her chest, lowered her voice, acted along with the boys, and got used to playing the part of a male. All for the sake of being accepted into society, of not being alone.
But when she was finally confronted by her Shadow, she realized that the one thing she truly wanted was to discover herself. Not as a detective, not as a boy, but as a woman, and the person she was supposed to be. it took her a while to accept that, and even after doing so- she was afraid. She didn't know what the changes would bring, and what would happen to her once they had happened.
But the entire team, along with Souji, gave her the strength to realize that she wasn't alone. She never was, and as long as she never shut people out, and kept them in her heart, she would always be with someone. That was what it meant to be a friend, and she was glad she had learned that over the past year, most of all.
