Update on previous post: I'm not going for the placement at Imperial, but I have started looking for summer work experience in Yorkshire. I really hope that Dan gets the York uni placement he's looking at, and I find work up there for a bit too. It would be awesome :D ( Read more... )

You seem fun, and the XKCD picture was what clinched it..

::blink:: Thank you! ^^ Had a look at your journal, and you seem fun too, so sure!

You're from 2_lines, right?

Yeah, quite a new convert... I'm sposed to be studying over the break, too, so I'm obviously spending a lot more time on LJ.. :P
Haha, spur of the moment? I had my hair cut really short when I went to the hairdresser on Wednesday, fully intending until I sat down to just have a trim :D

I like 2_lines. It's not *too* distracting, unless there's loads to catch up on. But LJ in genral can be *very* distracting...

I saw the pictures! It looks nice - rather similar to how my hair is at the moment, actually XD

The longer you go without checking it, the more there is to do on LJ, so the best thing to do is just spend little and very often on it :D

Have you seen the community articulate? I always found the limit of 15 words a post good fun... 2_lines is great, you really see what's on people's minds!
And thanks, I'm pleased with it, for all the lack of instructions I gave her :)

Spur-of-the-moment decisions are the only ones I stick to, maybe because they are more "sincere" than the ones I think long about.

It's something to do with Systems Biology... basically the application of physical science techniques to biological problems. I think the ones he's interested in are mostly programming-related :)

And it is indeed delightful! ^^
