Summary: It's Sixth Year at Hogwarts, and Harry Potter finds Draco Malfoy crying in the bathroom.
Draco Malfoy was thirteen when he first admitted to himself he was gay. He spent the next year trying to pretend nothing had changed. At age fourteen, he realized he couldn't continue with the charade. When Draco came out, the first person he told was Pansy Parkinson. It was only fair, as everyone seemed to believe they would marry someday. Pansy had been taken aback at first, but she had gradually accepted the idea, and she had been a wealth of support to Draco ever since. It was Pansy he would go to for relationship advice, and she was the one whose shoulder he had cried on over his first broken heart.
He had never forgotten her words to him that day. "Boys are like that, Draco," she had said. "You're never going to find one who doesn't make you cry."
Pansy had suffered her share of heartache during that time, as well, so she and Draco were well versed in offering comfort to one another. Draco's worst bout of crying came at the age of fifteen, when he had tearfully confessed to his best friend that he was over the moon for Harry Potter. The realization that he would never be more than a hated rival in the other boy's eyes had led to many a night spent crying himself to sleep. Pansy had eventually convinced him to let go of his fantasy, and Draco had showered his affections on other boys...until they broke his heart.
Now sixteen years old and none the wiser, Draco Malfoy was crying his eyes out in a seldom-used girls' lavatory. It had been the nearest sanctuary to duck into when his most recent boyfriend, a Seventh Year from his own House, had broken off their relationship.

Harry Potter had recently become obsessed with Draco Malfoy. He had been as scandalized as most of the other Hogwarts' students when Malfoy had come out two years prior. However, in the past six months, Harry had come to the rather sobering conclusion that he, too, was gay. He'd never been particularly attracted to girls, but he had always attributed that to being busy with studies and Quidditch and survival. However, after a couple attempts at being with girls had ended disastrously, Harry had found himself fantasizing more and more about...boys. And one boy in particular--Draco Malfoy.
In that time, Harry had watched as Malfoy went from one relationship to the next, never seeming to go more than a week at a time where he wasn't on the arm of one boy or another. Ron had declared him to be the Slut of Slytherin, but Hermione had pointed out that perhaps he was simply afraid to be alone. That thought had burrowed into Harry's psyche and refused to let go. Harry found himself longing to be the one Malfoy turned to. He would cherish the blond boy and never give him cause to fear being alone.
So it was that Harry, who had been surreptitiously observing Malfoy at every opportunity, saw the object of his affections flee into a nearby washroom with a stricken expression after what appeared to have been a heated conversation with his current boyfriend. Unable to help himself, Harry followed.
He discovered Malfoy in the lavatory, where the other boy stood braced against the sink, head bent, and crying softly. Harry's heart lurched, and he moved forward unthinkingly.

Draco tried to quell the sobs that were threatening to burst from him. Every time, every single damn time he thought he was finally finding happiness with someone who wasn't Harry Potter, he got his heart broken yet again. He wondered why he kept trying. He was just dashing tears from his eyes when he felt a pair of arms enfold him from behind in a warm, comforting hug. Half expecting to see Pansy behind him, he raised his eyes to the mirror and froze.
Draco felt his heart skip a beat when Potter leaned close and whispered, "Give me a chance, and you'll never cry again."
Edit: Since the bunny bit me hard, this now has a sequel:
